Create a native pollinator garden

Would you like to create a vibrant garden that's buzzing with biodiversity? Emma Cutting - Founder of Heartscapes - will show you how. With the support of her local community, Emma is flowering up nature strips, car parks and schools to create a thriving pollinator corridor in her suburb. She's eager to share her expertise so that others can set up similar environmental projects in their local neighbourhood, too.

This workshop is free to everyone, as part of our Kitchen Garden Month celebrations in September. Together, let's grow a national movement to welcome our native flora and fauna back to cities and urban corridors.

Details

During this free workshop, Emma will cover:

  • examples of Australian pollinator insects
  • top choices of pollinator-friendly plants
  • tips on designing and caring for a pollinator garden

There will be Q&A time, too, so please send your questions about attracting native pollinators to your garden to kate.beckwith@kitchengardenfoundation.org.au by Wednesday 10 September.

Meet our guest speaker:

Emma is the Founder of Heartscapes, a community initiative greening our streetscapes for greater native biodiversity and bringing the community together through street gardening. She is also the author of the 'Melbourne Pollinator Corridor Handbook'.
