Herbs: heroes of the Kitchen Garden Program

Growing herbs with young people can be fun and rewarding. But what to plant and how to maintain them so they flourish across the seasons? Cumin join us to learn more about growing, cooking and getting creative with herbs.

Details

During this herbaceous hour, we'll cover:

  • considerations when planting a herb garden
  • top plant choices for starting out
  • harvesting, pruning and propagating techniques
  • dill-icious recipes that celebrate herbs as the heroes of the menu
  • ideas for extension activities

Hear from one of our very own educators, who will share their sage advice on using herbs in the Kitchen Garden Program; and of course, there will be thyme to ask all your herb-related questions, too. This webinar is suitable for educators working in Early Childhood and schools.

Be sure to bring your best herb pun!
