This workshop is designed to help you get started - perfect for educators new to gardening with children.

During this one-hour workshop, Foundation staff - Laura Norton and Kate Beckwith - will cover:
- key factors to grow edible plants successfully
- building a garden space for young children
- ideas for garden experiences across the Early Years
- popular edible plants for young children
- a seed sowing demonstration
- useful Shared Table resources
There will be a Q&A at the end, to equip you with the confidence to start growing!
The content is curated especially for Early Childhood educators. However, educators from all sectors are welcome to attend.
Meet the presenters:
Together, Laura and Kate have over 20 years' experience working with young people in Kitchen Garden Programs. As an Early Childhood educator, Laura is passionate about creating engaging garden experiences for every stage of a child's Early Childhood journey. Kate has previously worked as a garden educator and brings a wealth of knowledge and practical ideas to help manage a children's edible garden.
