During this 60 minute online webinar, we will cover:

  • the benefits of getting the whole school behind the Kitchen Garden Program
  • all the tools and activities you'll need to run a staff workshop during a lunchbreak or planning day - including an agenda, quick and impactful garden and kitchen experiences, and discussion prompts and templates to unpack the links to learning together
  • ideas on how to connect your program with other school initiatives

Meet the presenters

The Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Foundation's Support Team members - Kate and Belinda - have done all the hard work for you. Drawing on the shared experience of educators, school leaders and teachers, they have created a flexible and comprehensive workshop that's ready to roll out at your school.

This online webinar will take place using Zoom. A link will be sent to all registered participants before the event. You can join the webinar using a computer, tablet or mobile phone.

The outcomes of this course are aligned to the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers as outlined by the Australian Institute for Teaching and School Leadership (AITSL). Completing this online workshop will contribute evidence towards 1.0 hour of accredited professional development in maintaining the following standards:

  • 2.3 - design and implement learning and teaching programs using knowledge of curriculum, assessment and reporting requirements.
  • 3.6 - work with colleagues to review current teaching and learning programs to improve student learning.
  • 6.2 - engage in professional learning and improve practice.
