First Nations Food swaps with Warndu

To celebrate #KitchenGardenMonth in September, we're hosting a free webinar for members of the Kitchen Garden Program.

Come and learn some simple pantry swaps so you can use more local Australian flavours in your favourite dishes.

During this 30 minute online workshop, Warndu founders, Damien and Rebecca, will guide you through:

  • Their top 10 easy pantry swaps
  • The taste profiles of Australian Native Ingredients, and
  • How to cook confidently with local food.

Warndu - meaning "good" in Adnyamathanha - is a social enterprise whose mission is to bring First Nations Food to your pantry.

Can't make the session time but still want to learn from Warndu? All registered participants will receive a recording to watch at a time that suits.

This online workshop will take place using Zoom. A link will be sent to all registered participants before the event. You can join the workshop using a computer, tablet or mobile phone. A recording of the workshop will be sent to participants after the session.

First Nations Food swaps with Warndu will contribute evidence towards 1.0 hours of accredited professional development in maintaining the following standards:

1.4: Design and implement effective teaching strategies that are responsive to the local community and cultural setting. Linguistic background and histories of Aboriginal and Torres Strait islanders.

2.4 Provide students with the opportunity develop understanding and respect of aboriginal and Torres Strait islander histories, cultures and languages.
