Cygnet Primary School is located in the township of Cygnet on the Huon River estuary, 55 kilometres south of Hobart. The school was established in 1855 and has a tradition of providing quality state funded education for students in Years K to 6 from the surrounding community. Cygnet Primary School's vision is: An inclusive community nurturing inspired, creative learners. The school values are: Safety, Kindness, Respect and Give the Best. These values underpin all school and class programs. Cygnet Primary School is a Kids Matter School with a designated Social Skills Program to support the school values and School Wide Positive Behaviour Support Program.
