Luurnpa Catholic School is located in the Aboriginal community of Balgo Hills in the south-eastern Kimberley. The school motto Nintirrikuwala Tjitjukurlu (Learning with Jesus) highlights the school focus on Gospel values and the importance of the local culture and community. The school enjoys strong support from the families of Balgo providing education for all children from Kindergarten to Year 10. The school also has a significant number of students visiting Balgo for cultural and family events. Close links with the local community and learning support is provided by an Aboriginal Teacher Assistant in each classroom. The school's learning program is based on the principles of attendance, participation and achievement to provide for students a successful and nurturing learning experience.
