Omeo Primary School is located in the High Country of East Gippsland 120 kilometres north of Bairnsdale. The school, established in 1866, is centrally located in the middle of the town. Three buses bring students into the school from outlying areas, Benambra, Cobungra and Glen Wills, with several students travelling long distances to school each day.
