Wangaratta District Specialist School is a dual mode specialist school in Wangaratta providing high quality educational programs for students with mild to severe intellectual and other related disabilities which make it difficult for them to learn at the age expected rate. Students range from 5 to 18 years of age. In 2010, 72 students (21 female, 51 male) were enrolled at WDSS from the Benalla, Myrtleford, Rutherglen, Wangaratta and Beechworth areas. Student numbers are increasing annually. Students must meet the state-wide eligibility criteria to attend WDSS.
