Blackstone is part of the multi campus Ngaanyatjarra Lands School created in 2007 under a joint agreement between the State and Federal governments with the Ngaanyatjarra Council. Each individual campus provides educational opportunities and services based on the specific needs of the community while working collaboratively towards 'whole school' targets and partnerships. English is a second or third language rarely spoken in homes or the communities outside of classrooms, and families maintain a rich cultural heritage with close connections to their land and their language.
