Victorian School Garden Awards

The Victorian School Garden Awards (VSGA) aims to promote a lifelong connection with the natural environment and improve student learning, health and wellbeing.

VSGA runs an Awards program and a Grants program that offer prizes and grant incentives to inspire school communities to develop, grow and celebrate their gardening achievements.

VSGA Awards program

The VSGA Awards program rewards and celebrates the gardening achievements of existing and newly established school gardens.

The VSGA Awards program offers over $40,000 worth of prizes in the form of a voucher to be redeemed at a retail nursery that is a member of Nursery and Garden Industry of Victoria (NGIV). Schools can enter by submitting an online PowerPoint application presenting your school’s gardening achievements.

Entry opens on 1 June 2016 and close on 2 September 2016.

VSGA Grants program

The VSGA Grants program provides seed funding to help schools establish new gardens.

The VSGA Grants program has over $35,000 worth of grants to distribute to all State Government, Catholic and Independent schools in Victoria. The grants are available as a voucher that can be redeemed at a retail nursery that is a member of the Nursery & Garden Industry of Victoria (NGIV).

Applications open on 1 March 2016 and close on 29 April 2016.
