Pick & Mix 1-6 Lunchbox Poster

It’s ‘back to school’ time, which means getting back into the routine of packing healthy school lunchboxes.

To inspire parents with ideas and practical tips, the Victorian Department of Health and Human Services has released the Pick & Mix 1-6 lunchbox poster.

The poster offers a simple message – for a healthy lunchbox, pick & mix something from each group 1–6!  

The Pick & Mix 1-6 poster will be provided to Victorian prep students starting this year as a lift-out from the Healthy Start to School booklet in the 2016 Prep Library Bag. The public can download the poster from the Department’s Healthy Together website.

The Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Foundation looks forward to seeing Pick & Mix 1-6 inspired lunchboxes popping up at schools across the country – if possible with homegrown goodies fresh from the students’ garden picked for the number 2 spot.
