Our Annual Reports

The Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation founded by Stephanie Alexander AO in 2004 to inspire and equip educators to run the Kitchen Garden Program across Australia. The Kitchen Garden Program is recognised worldwide as a proven, impactful, curriculum-linked framework that delivers learning, wellbeing and sustainability benefits for children and young people. The Foundation also leads community place-based projects to address local health and learning priorities. This work is made possible with the continued support of our partners and we sincerely thank them for their commitment and generosity.

FY2023 saw a return to face-to-face PD, and the continuation of our Healthy Kids Advisors initiative and fresh produce campaigns with Coles.

In FY2022 we launched the Healthy Kids Advisors initiative, and marked 20 years ofthe Kitchen Garden Programwith Kitchen Garden Week.

In FY2021 the Foundation launched the Kitchen Garden Program for Secondary Years, and welcomed our new partner General Mills.

In FY2020 we welcomed new partners Coles, Mirvac and Saputo Dairy Australia; and launched the Kitchen Garden Program for Early Childhood.

FY2019 saw the launch of Playground to Plate, targeting disadvantaged schools; our Turning the Tables fundraising campaign; and continuing development of the Secondary Years Kitchen Garden Project.

FY2018 saw the launch of the Victorian Pleasurable Food Education Package, and the commencement of two three-year projects to adapt the Kitchen Garden Program to the early childhood and secondary sectors.
