Grant opportunities for schools and centres

Are you looking for funding to develop or enhance a kitchen garden program at your school or centre, or to set up a community garden? Then check out these grant opportunities.

Growing Good Gardens Grant

Yates Gardening has partnered up with Life Education Australia to encourage young people to get out into the garden to grow and learn healthy habits.

Schools, preschools and community groups can apply for a $1000 grant to help create a garden space where kids can learn healthy habits and improve their physical and mental wellbeing. There are 15 grants available.

Applications close 15 June 2018.

Nude Food Grant

Education providers, classes and students around Australia are eligible to apply for a Nude Food Grant.

The grants will give away a total of $10,000 to the best nutrition, environmental sustainability and nude food (food that is nutritious and without packaging) ideas.

Pick My Project Grants

The Victorian Government’s $30 million Pick My Project Fund hasone-off grants between $20,000 and $200,000 available for community projects.

The grants are open to projects that will make local communities better places to live, such as community gardens.

Victorian Junior Landcare and Biodiversity Grants

The Victorian Government is funding up to $400,000 of Victorian Junior Landcare and Biodiversity Grants.

The grants of up to $5,000 each are open to Victorian schools, kindergartens, childcare centres, Scouts, Guides, and youth groups for projects that focus on:

  • improving biodiversity through the development, improvement or restoration of habitat for Victoria’s native plants (flora) and animals (fauna), and/or
  • educating, involving, and engaging young people in valuing and actively caring for Victoria’s natural environment.

Applications close 20 July 2018.
