A dusting of festive cheer from Phillippa's
The end of the year is approaching rapidly and with it comes the school break, lazy summer days and the usual seasonal festivities.
Just in time, Phillippa’s have launched their 2016 Christmas Brochure featuring a range of products, workshops and – of course – their renowned baked goods.
Phillippa’s, established by Phillippa Grogan in 1994, have been feeding hungry minds at Kitchen Garden Program Schools with donations of bread and flour since March 2011.
A valued Kitchen Garden Foundation partner, this respected bakery shares with the Foundation an appreciation of natural, organic ingredients and an emphasis on great flavour.
Students have used Phillippa’s bread flour to learn the principles of careful measurement, kneading and proving, producing fresh bread in the kitchen classroom.
Educators, too, have reaped the benefits of Philllippa’s expert baking tips and inside knowledge during hands-on baking workshops.
More recently, Phillippa’s traditional sourdough baguettes and bloomers fueled both attendees and facilitators at the Foundation’s Big Melbourne Kitchen Garden Professional Development Day.
